In the interest of protecting the public health and safety, the environment, and the economy it is essential that technology professionals engage in lifelong learning. Professional technologists and technicians are accountable to the public and to their profession. Employers, clients, and the public expect that technology professionals operate at the current level of knowledge and expertise, and recognize that level is constantly changing with innovation and development. SASTT members may submit information on courses / seminars which they have completed to keep their technical knowledge current and further their education by filling in the Professional Development Assurance form and submitting the form to the SASTT office for inclusion in your membership file.
