Life Membership Life Membership may be awarded to members who have given exceptional and meritorious service to the Association or members who have completely retired from employment and meet specific criteria as outlined in Association policy. Life membership does not include those who have left applied science technology and are working in other fields. Life members are required to advise SASTT in writing upon returning to employment. Life members shall be entitled to all the rights of registered professional members but shall be exempt from payment of annual fees, and subject to all other provisions of SASTT Bylaws, and Association policies. A member who has been designated by the Board of Directors as a Life Member is not required to pay the annual membership fee (described in subsection 15.1 (1)(a) SASTT Administrative Bylaws) except for the year in which he or she retires.
