The Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT) is the only professional association in the Province of Saskatchewan that evaluates the academic and experiential qualifications of individuals who apply for registration, and issues professional designations accordingly, based on provincial requirements related to education, experience, and professionalism.

In 1998, the Saskatchewan Legislature gave SASTT the authority to administer the "Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Act". The conduct of SASTT members and the practice of applied science / engineering technology are regulated under the terms of the SASTT Act, Bylaws, and policies.

Purpose

  • To protect the public by regulating the professional conduct of Applied Science Technologists, and Certified Technicians in the Province of Saskatchewan;
  • To increase the knowledge, skill, and proficiency of Applied Science Technologists, and Certified Technicians;
  • To foster a better understanding of Applied Science Technologists, and Certified Technicians by industry and the public at large.
