Procedures
To
login you will need to disable any POPUP blocking software, this
includes Google, MSN & Yahoo Toolbars as well as Windows XP
Blocker (Tools/Popup blocker). INTERNET
EXPLORER 8 Login procedure: To
add http://www.sastt.ca
to your Trusted Sites zone:

In
the browser - Click the Tools menu then Internet
Options
-
Click
on the Security tab
-
In
the 'Select a zone to view or change security settings'
choose Trusted sites (the check mark) then click the Sites
button
-
In
the Trusted Sites dialogue box, make sure the 'Add this
website to the zone' box says http://www.sastt.ca
, then uncheck the box that says
'Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this
zone' (see picture)

Click
Add, then click Close to close the Trusted
sites window
-
Click
OK to close the Internet Options dialogue box
and Login again.
The
above procedures should allow you to login in to any version of
Explorer, but if you are still having problems, see the steps
below.
Additional
Steps May be needed in some cases:
You
must choose to allow ActiveX controls to run on your
machine. See
the help below then click to
login
again. To
Login with Internet Explorer 7.0 you may have to do the
following: Go
to:
-
Tools
/ Internet Options
-
Click
the Security Tab
-
Select
Internet
-
Then
Click Custom Level ... at bottom of Window
-
Under
Miscellaneous - Disable - Pop Up Blocker
-
Under
Scripting - Enable - Allow websites to prompt for
information using scripted windows
NOTE:
If using Explorer 7.0 you may also need to to start your browser
in No-Addons mode in order to login in. See Instructions
below:
You
can start Internet Explorer 7.0 with out add-ons by right-clicking
the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop and then clicking
Start Without Add-ons.
To permanently disable add-ons

In
Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Manage
Add-ons, and then click Enable or Disable Add-ons.

In
the Show list, click Add-ons that have been used by Internet
Explorer to display all add-ons.

Click
the add-on you want to disable, and then click Disable.
Repeat step 3 for every add-on you want to disable. When
you are finished, click OK.
Follow
the steps below to run Internet Explorer with all add-ons
temporarily disabled. Add-ons will be disabled only until you
restart Internet Explorer normally.
To temporarily disable all add-ons
In Windows, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories,
click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No
Add-ons).
Note:
If you find that disabling all add-ons solves the problem
you were having, you might want to disable the add-ons
permanently by disabling each one individually by following the
steps below.
Allowing
ActiveX Controls to Run
Should you be presented with any windows stating
that you must enable ActiveX controls. follow one of two methods
outlined below.

The window in question will have a bar just
above the page title that may be flashing blue. Click on
this bar and chose to enable ActiveX controls to run
-
You may also choose to always allow the
ActiveX controls to run on a permanent basis by:
- Click on the Tools menu in the Internet Explorer
browser
- Click on Internet Options
- Choose the Security tab
- Click on Internet icon
- Click Custom button in lower part of Internet
Options window
- Under the Active X control and plug-ins there
are 7 (seven) options
choose Enable for all 7 (seven) options
